Sometimes you just need some cheap greasy Mexican food with your bestie.

Sara and I hadn't really hung out in over two months, which is pretty rare for us. We try to see each other at least once a week. We went to this small cheap mexican place around the corner and drank sangria while we commented on how old we were, even though we both felt so young. I don't think you're supposed to talk about getting older. It's like Fight Club. Don't talk about it. Because when you do, you just feel so much younger.

Hey! Just hopped on over from the Daybook! You and your knitting skills rock lady! There are so many things in that shop that I need! :)

Jas and I have been SEARCHING for great Mexican food around here (just moved to Cali)—but I'm afraid nothing will ever beat the scary little taco bus from our hometown. Sad I know, but kinda true.
But nothing says "catching up" like greasy Mexican food... good choice.

Hey girl! Just popped over from the Daybook, and let me say, I love your stuff!! That scarf Sydney is wearing is beautiful!! I love getting Meican food with the besties. About once a month or so, we have a girls night and we leave the kids and hubbies at home, and PIG OUT on some Mexican food. Its the greatest!!

Hey, I also just discovered your blog and shop on The Daybook. You and your sister have some amazing knitting skills...do you ever do tutorials on your blog?
I like to knit, but I'm much more of a scarves and dishcloths type.

I've been craving Mexican food lately. It's not a big thing in France, so I'm counting the days 'til I come home to the States for Christmas!

Anyway, Mexican: I have a (notso) secret love for Mexican food. Actually, I went to Texas last year and my friends and I ate at the same Mexican restaurant three times over the course of four days. I. Love. Mexican.

I agree. My bestie (husband) and I frequent Mexican joints as he is from Mexico :) With him in tow I am assured we go somewhere yummy and "legit" :)

anyways, greasy mexican - one word: delic.. okay, maybe two words: freaking delicious! probably not the healthiest, but i'd choose it any day.. & for my best friend to be there with me, even better.

This is pretty much my life. There is a really good mexican restaurant in our town so whenever I come home from college 3 hours away me and my bff always get together and eat there. Who doesn't love endless chips and salsa. And we always talk about how fast time goes and how even at 20 it's easy to feel old looking at how ppl who are younger than us are getting older. I always quote Kenny Chesney's song "There goes my life". haha.
Love your knitting!

Greasey mexican food is a nice splurge with your bestie when comfort is needed and words aren't enough to pull through. I'm loving the scaves- I'm a new fan. #1 in eggplant especially.

There is honestly nothing like some cheap and greasy food (Mexican or any other kind) with your best friend. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about it that just brings out the best memories and laughter!

Just popped over from the Daybook--what amazing talent you have! And I love your blog!

Such great knitting you do!

I firmly believe that Mexican food is the best genre of food. We just happen to have moved to a house within 1 mile of hubby's favorite Mexican restaurant... I promise it was not planned!

P.S. Greasy Mexican food is the only way to get Mexican food, just sayin'.

I love the wooden bowls that all greasy Mexican food places have for the chips. :) Deeelicious!

SarLaz said...

Surprisingly, even though I live in Texas, my BFF and I usually meet up for steaks (not as surprising since we live in Texas) as opposed to Mexican food. But, few things are better than margaritas and chips & salsa with best friends... except steak.

Sarah said...

Hey, I'm here from The Daybook and I love your knitting! Mexican food with friends is awesome, especially when you're sharing a pile of chips and guacamole.

ShanaEmily said...

There is something about being with your best friend and indulging in chips, salsa and beans! We havE a hole in the wall in las Vegas where a small Mexican man plays the guitar and sings, love it! By the way your store has become my new favorite spot for gifts! You are very talented! Keep up the I inspiration!

I think as long as you are with your bestie and get some good girl time in doesn't matter how greasy the food is....that's until you have stomach cramps later from it! =)
